Construction Plan Tank Can You Build A Smoker From A Hot Water Heater Tank?

Can you build a smoker from a hot water heater tank? - construction plan tank

A friend has produced Change 2 50-gallon water heater and plan for the withdrawal of a new grill to a smoker, and so on. What can I use in building hot water, are dangerous for food? I think because the water through these sections. Has anyone a link to a website showing how to build a smoker?

Water heaters are thin sheet metal skin over a glass container. Once the tank insulating glass and metal to remove, it is probably too thin to be long as a smoker, that the ammunition to strengthen last field.

A heavy steel drum, 55 gallons would be much more effective.

I am sure the tank is in order. It is all the crap, rushed into the water during the years that are clean. Believe me, may not be messy. BTW, breaking the external tank is not as easy as it first (seems like that).

Hot water storage would be a good smoker, but might think a little smaller than you.

And now, a pet peeve of mine: it'e or a hot water tank or water heater. Heat no hot water or hot water is cold. To call it a water heater is wrong. Zinger use to call someone who hears the case.

Boilers over a steel tank, and all I saw was smoke / BBQ have built. Basically, the reservoir of the length form has carefully reduced heat and cover. The hinges and handles up to her thighs and added to the database. They are not very effective because it is long and narrow, but it will work. On the issue of hot dip galvanizing. It is true that the combustion of zinc vapor is toxic to inhale or are taking zinc, but it must be achieved at about 900 degrees before oxidized, so that the trash function properly for cold-smoked and must, if food is not in contact with the CAN. Many smokers of electrical parts are equipped with galvanized steel.

If you are using not only the shell of isolation and everything else, then it should go, because the coal generally fair in the tank and rust / calcium dumps. You should be safe if you know what you are doing

The only problem I have with the answer "Barnmaster" gave a galvanized trash can, it would be the food of acids through the smoke, etc. generated undermined? I have a 55-gallon steel.
